Midwest 2014 II

Chicago/Libertyville

July 2, 2014
Drove from Lake Geneva down to Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago, parked, and found David and Mark waiting for us at a middle-eastern restaurant named Reza'a.  Very good buffet lunch with lamb, beef, and chicken kabobs being the high point.  Walked around a bit, then had ice cream at a cute little shop. A wonderful visit with David and Mark.

Next back to suburbia to find Amy and Rick at their house is in Libertyville.  Amy pulled out the stops - pulled pork, bratwurst in sauerkraut, potato chips, watermelon, corn bread muffins, sweet potato fries, and finally a chocolate birthday cake that she and Liz had schemed about.  We had a great time with them.  It appears I neglected my real camera on this day and only resorted to my phone camera for a picture of the cake.  Finally, we spent the night at a nearby Holiday Inn Express.  It was a nice, had good wifi speeds, and was very close to Rick and Amy's.   We will stay there again, I am sure.
